Clay Works:
My clay pieces reflect my interest in geological processes. Using a basic vocabulary of simple geometry and organic symmetry, I communicate the beauty of the story of the small stone in the palm of your hand complete with violence, passion, and stillness. The juxtaposition of clay and stone are important to me. Over time, stone becomes mud, the source of creation. Through the work of human hands it becomes stone-like again. I am having a dialogue with stone, mud, and fire.
