Poetic Geology Series:

An ecstatic, sensual relationship with the world is a gateway to wisdom.

The begin point is stone. Looking at the stones through a jewellers loupe, and finding there evidence of how the material world reacts to the pressures of time and change. The more deeply one looks into an object, the more surfaces are revealed  these inner and outer worlds inform and echo one another.

Stone is a witness of events, and her work is a commentary on the record itself, reflecting a fascination with geological time the way things form, solidify, and decay texture, surface, colour, clay, and fire are the impetus for her work.
